why samflower?it's a play on words with my name and sunflowers. it's a nickname close friends call me! i wanted a username that would feel more personal to me, so i decided to go with this instead. sunflowers are pretty meaningful to me as well, so it just felt like it fit perfectly with me !!
about this website and it's orgin story:
channeling my inner child who used to spend so much time on my tumblr blogs... i thought it would be fun to create a little site where i can get away from other socials and get creative. i also wanted another place to show my photos i take with my canon camera !! i think it will be a great way to keep track of memories instead of relying on social media to do that job (and i can get away from the pressure of likes and follows!)originally i wanted this site to be on neocities, however... i am too silly and stupid for my own good to understand how to use it! i've used html on carrd before though so i felt more comfortable using carrd as a starter blog. and that's how this site was born! i hope you enjoy looking through this site as much as i enjoy making it !!! 07.09.24 ♡ hello everypony!! it's been a minute.. i keep saying in my entries i'll do a better entry but this one will be even shorter than previous ones, i'm sorry! small life updates: i got a new position at work! i'm a bit nervous about it considering my job is pretty stressful and my work environment is, well... a little toxic.. but it was a $2 raise (so i went from $16 to $18) and i really need the money!! i'm still happy my boss gave me the position though. ^ _ ^ i've been dealing with some mental health stuff regarding my personal and work life so i haven't been able to update this site much lately, i'm so sorry about that! i'm trying my best and that's all that matters. anyway, if you're reading this right now, i hope you are doing well as well !! ttyl <3
06.23.24 ♡ funny enough, it's 2:36am when i'm writing another entry.. can you tell i have a very odd sleep schedule? another short entry, sorry about that! however, i can't get my mind off on my trip in september.. i'll be going to twitchcon in san diego !!! ^ _ ^ i can't wait to meet friends i made in the online communities i'm in for twitch.. and also explore san diego! i just finished journaling in my junk journal and finally make pages for some recent trips in the last couple of months.. and it just makes me think about all the pictures and things i'll collect in san diego to later put in my journal !! hmmm, now that i'm thinking about it, maybe making a page on my site to show case some of my fav journal pages might be a good idea.. speaking of site ideas, i have a lot of them! currently, i've been hyperfixated on making a shrine page for zack fair from final fantasy vii. it's still a work in progress of course, but once it's finished i want to link it to this site! i just love zack so much, he deserves a cute little site for himself ♡ anyway, that's all i'm going to write for this entry, i look forward to writing more here and updating this site! byeeee, i hope everyone is having a good day ♡
06.18.24 ♡ writing this at 2:30am... yes, sadly when i have closing shifts the night prior i end up staying up super late! it's okay though because today i don't have work or big plans. there's a nintendo direct later this morning so i can't wait to watch that! i mean, i'm not expecting anything big, i just love nintendo directs. it's always so fun to see new games coming out later in the year! my other plans for today will be cleaning my room and doing laundry... i know, super boring! however, i've been putting it off for so long, i really need to do it. i'm looking forward to getting it done and feeling more cozy in my room (i can't be the only one who feels more comfortable in their room after a cleaning session!) i might do some studying later afterwards. looking forward to a nice chill day off of work! anyways, i hope you enjoyed reading this, although this is a small entry i wanted to write something for this page rather than keeping it as a work in progress. see you next time! ♡
